Frequently Asked Questions

How long have you been shooting weddings?

I have been working as a photojournalist since 2005 and I started shooting weddings in part-time 2007. I went full-time when I started my business in 2018. I'm proud to have earned the "Best of the Knot" title six years in a row 2018-2023. Sometimes people ask me if I know how many weddings have a shot and while I don't have the exact number, my best guess is...hundreds.

How would you describe your style?

Moment-driven and personal. My emphasis is on capturing candid moments and making you feel comfortable. I strive to capture pictures that reflect who you are as a couple.

How many photos will I receive? How do you edit your photos? What's the turnaround?

Generally, most couples receive over 600 edited images from their wedding day. I pledge to digitally deliver those images to you 1 month after your wedding date. I edit the best photos and weed out redundancies. I also believe in clean post-production practices. I am not going to disguise your natural beauty with trendy filters.

Do you ever use an assistant or second shooter?

Yes, it depends on the package you book but having another pair of eyes/set of hands can really enhance your coverage. If there are many locations and hundreds of guests, I will recommend a second shooter.

Do you cover weddings off-Cape?

Yes, I book most of my weddings on Cape Cod and throughout New England and I also do destination weddings too. If travel is beyond a 60-mile radius is necessary, a travel fee will be assessed. If your wedding requires an overnight stay, the accommodations cost will be incorporated into the package price.

What if it rains?

I am prepared for anything and everything. I always travel with a portable strobe kit and several flash units. If the weather brings us indoors, I have plenty of lighting devices to make you and your guests look great.

What kind of cameras do you use?

I use professional level Nikon camera equipment, one Nikon Z9, one Nikon D5 and one Nikon D850 with a wide variety of lenses and lighting equipment.

Who does your printing?

I use White House Custom Colour, a premier photo finishing lab trusted by industry professionals around the world. I highly recommend ordering printed products through my site for the sake of investing in quality and posterity. I keep my print prices reasonable because I am passionate about excellent presentation and accessibility.

Do you sell gift cards?

If you'd prefer a physical gift card, please email me at christine@capecodsaltybroad.com

Are you LGBTQ friendly?

Absolutely. In fact, I'm part of the community myself! This Salty Broad is proud to live in the great state of Massachusetts, the first state to legalize gay marriage.

What are your package and pricing options?

Since every couple has their own unique celebration and vision, I prefer to get a better understanding of your wedding day and create a customized proposal. I do have a list of popular packages that I share with engaged couples to provide an idea of what I offer. Most couples spend between $3,500 and $4,500 on their wedding day package photo package with Salty Broad Studios.

What do you require for booking?

The signing of a contract and a 30% deposit.
