A South Shore Love Story: Two Brides, One Coastal Celebration
Some wedding days are made even more special by the places chosen to tell their story. For Mags and Nicole, each location was thoughtfully selected to create a celebration that was uniquely theirs.
Their day began with preparations at Hotel 1620 and the Harbor Town Inn & Suites in Plymouth. Mags looked stunning in an all-lace gown, while Nicole brought a little dapper flair in a sharp suit topped with an evergreen velvet jacket. Before heading off for their First Look and portraits, Nicole took me up on a suggestion to swing by the hotel gym, grab a couple of weights, and squeeze in some bicep curls. A fun, unexpected moment that perfectly captured their shared enthusiasm for athletics.
Next, we headed to the Art Complex Museum in Duxbury for their First Look and group portraits. The October foliage was absolutely spectacular, with brilliant autumn colors framing the museum's gardens and outdoor sculptures. The combination of changing leaves, art, and natural beauty created a gorgeous backdrop for their wedding portraits.
From there, it was off to their waterfront celebration at the Duxbury Maritime School. With its seaside South Shore charm and back porch overlooking the bay, the venue was the perfect place to bring everyone together for an unforgettable wedding ceremony and reception.
The ceremony took place on the back lawn overlooking the sailboats and fishing vessels moored on the water. Mags and Nicole walked each other down the aisle before exchanging vows that were equal parts hilarious and heartfelt. In a meaningful nod to Irish tradition, they invited their guests to offer their well wishes and blessings through a ring warming ceremony by taking turns holding their wedding rings. There were plenty of laughs, a few happy tears, and, of course, a celebratory kiss to make it official.
But the celebration didn't stop there of course! After saying their 'I dos,' the newlyweds hopped aboard a launch boat for a quick ride around the bay with champagne flutes in hand. It was the perfect little escape before returning to their guests and an evening of mingling over cocktails, tearing up the dance floor and some contentious rounds of corn hole on the deck. They made their intentions to keep the energy high clear but issuing shot glass favors to each guest inscribed with "Two Brides are Better Than One."
From the beautiful autumn scenery at the museum to the coastal charm of the maritime school, Mags and Nicole's wedding day was filled with personal touches, laughter, and an outpouring of of love. It was an absolute pleasure to capture the moments for these lovely ladies!
