Seaside splendor for a couple of world travelers

David and Jess were faced with the threat of powerful storm rolling through on their wedding day so in response they threw a party that was the force to be reckoned with all on its own, no lie. While the the storm was not as severe as expected, it certainly delivered high winds, which kept them indoors. Through all of the pivots, this couple rolled with the uncertainty and stayed cheerful throughout. Mother Nature rewarded them for their resilience with not one but two phenomenal sunsets, one on the night of their rehearsal dinner and welcome party and the another on their wedding day.

On wedding day, the bride set the bar high for shenanigans when she kicked off the day by faking out the groom with a phony First Look, subbing in one of the Best Men dressed in lace. After a fair amount of chuckling and a quick photo shoot with the Best Man all prettied up, David was ready to see his actual bride. The real First Look was equal parts tears and laughter, and with the bride and groom finally in each other's sights the celebration truly started to come together.

Rock star coordinator Angie Lyons helped the couple navigate the difficult decision to hold the ceremony indoors and kept all the festivities running smoothly. The florist designed an absolutely stunning display against the windows looking out over Buzzards Bay. The couple and the wedding party braved the wind for a quick photo session as guests migrated to the cocktail hour and were entertained by the super-talented multi-instrumentalist Tom Bruhl.

The lively pair of DJs kept the music blaring and the guests could not stop dancing. It was an all out high intensity cardio experience. In all seriousness, I have been photographed a wedding with such a fun crew of guests. Everyone was so incredible kind and fun. Thank you for welcoming the Salty Broad and I hope to photograph another raucous event with these lovely people in the not too distant future.
